Guest Post: Aydan and Nesy: A Love To Span The Centuries

First, let me say a big thank you for participating in the tour for Libera Me. I’m really excited to share this book with the world and see the reaction. Aydan and Nesy have been very close to my heart for many years; watching their story continue to unfold has been a true pleasure. Which brings me to today’s post. Soumi ask me to speak a little about the love that exists between Nesy and Aydan, and what, if anything inspired it.

Let me start by admitting that I am a die-hard romantic. I love epic stories of love and passion. Romeo and Juliet, Tristan and Isolde, Mark Anthony and Cleopatra, Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth, Mr. Rochester and Jane Eyre—each of these couples has inspired the love between Aydan and Nesy in some way.

Aydan and Nesy were a doomed love from the first meeting. Both angelic and neither aware of the others’ identity, drawn to each other in ways that betrayed their training and rules, they should not have survived as a couple. And yet, neither the passage of time, nor the truth of their identities could keep them apart.

In this next book, Libera Me, we see the depth of Aydan’s love again. Even in the face of unspeakable horrors and confusion, he can’t deny or turn away from his feelings for Nesy. She is still the inspiration behind his every decision, the foundation of his thoughts.

The book explores the truth of Nessa – is she Aydan’s Nesy? Is she something else all together? Does it matter now? The answers to these and other questions may threaten the love that has existed between this couple, leaving the reader to wonder if love will prevail in the end, and just how far either will go for the other. How much will they sacrifice?

Elana Johnson said that Lacrimosa, the first book in the series is “the last novel you’ll need to read to understand true sacrifice”, and I agree with that. soThis series examines epic love and the sacrifices we are willing to make to keep it. Libera Me takes it one step further, testing the couples true feelings and setting up a climax in Book #3 that will test love to its absolute limit.

Welcome to the Virtual Blog Tour for LIBERA ME, Book #2 in the Requiem Series by Christine Fonseca.
Beginning after Lacrimosa and the short story Mea Culpa, Libera Me follows Zane and Aydan as they try to figure out who Nessa really is. Here's the blurb:

What happens when everything you’ve sacrificed for is lost?
Aydan thought Nesy’s death would be the end of him, until he meets Nessa and his hope is restored. Could she be Nesy reborn? He is certain she must be. That is, until her lack of memories and incessant nightmares begin to erode his faith.

Zane is used to trusting his mind, his wisdom and his angelic senses. But these attributes are no help with Nessa. He has no way to be certain of her identity, no way to know the truth. That is, unless he listens to the one thing he has refused to acknowledge throughout his existence - he feelings for Nesy.

Blind to both angel and demon, Aydan and Zane must figure out the truth behind Nesy's identity before all is lost, Azza discovers the truth and the Beast is again unleashed.

The lines between good and evil have never been so blurred.
